IMF:Who is the victim? The Millionaire vs the Maid(hotel workers are often targets for sexual predators)

Posted on May 18, 2011

The media attention is focused on IMF chief Dominique Strass-Kahn who despite the hotel video, his hastily planned trip home, and the screaming hotel worker is the victim or so his lawyer wants the public to believe.

Meanwhile the maid, reportedly a african american women from Ghana  has worked for the hotel for four years  on a salary of 23,000 in New York City..Her life has forever changed.  She can’t go home or work, it is said she has a  daughter   who’s life also being turned upside down.

The media is salivating, they want to know all the details of her life.  Speaking of her life, it is being currently being  dissected, is she promiscuous, where’s the father?, what was  her sexual life in Ghana?   Did she find Mr Strauss-Kahn attractive (after all he is now saying it was consensual  sex. )

These questions often discourage victims  of sexual assault  from pressing  charges.   The UK based Daily Mail said the victim was reserved and quiet. Co-workers say she is well liked.

According to the police, when the maid entered his suite Saturday afternoon, a naked Mr Strauss-Kahn came out the the bathroom, chased and assaulted her.

In the January 26 issue of    Hotel Confidential: http://sacratomatovillepost.com/2011/01/26/hotel-confidential-the-x-files/  suggests  ”Female employees are often victimized by hotel guest,  its isn’t uncommon for housekeeper  after knocking on the door  to encounter a naked guest”   Some hotel managers will ask the employee to look the other way unless the quest becomes physical.
