Despite the smell and weird taste, Mrs Porras ate the Rice Krispies. Her daughter called 911 , and she was taken to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Azuza, California with her husband at her side.
Needing a cigarette ,Mr Fernando Porras stepped outside side and never returned (perhaps it was the site of the police car) after further investigation authorities tracked him down and arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder.
