The plaintiffs: former nannies, family members and friends video recorded in bedrooms, bathrooms and showers in Lyons homes in Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.,saved the humiliation of reliving events surrounding the tapings. 2.5 million dollars and a public apology will bring their chapters to a financial closing.
“(Lyon) states that his mental and emotional condition is such that he has no recollection of participating in any of the acts …,” according to one document filed earlier this year by the plaintiffs’ attorney.
Lyon reportedly kept taping after he knew he was under investigation. He initially denied knowledge of the tapes .Last year, the 56 year old Lyon pleaded guilt to felony counts of electronic eavesdropping. Part of his one year sentence was spent in jail and the other at home.
There are two other civil suites pending. He vows to continue with therapy over behavior he described then as “impulsive.”
