Hotel Confidential”Special”: The Schwarzenegger Rumors


Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger lived at the Hyatt Regency across from the Capitol during his term.

The governor is being accused of using  Highway Patrol officers in Schwarzenegger’s security detail , to drive ladies to his penthouse suite.   Thus using taxpayer funds.

The story is from the National Enquirer, its editor in chief  “Tony Frost” is standing by the story despite some  large holes.

The  source William Taylor,

who reportedly took a polygraph for the Enquier.

“My information is accurate and true and I am not a liar.

“I came forward because his behavior caused the loss of  jobs to guards I worked with and he did it to cover up his own personal dalliances. 

Mr Taylor said he was a “contract  security” official at the Hyatt.

The San Francisco Chronicle contacted the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency, Ulrich Samietz. The hotel manager told the Chronicle in an email Wednesday that “we do not have any records” of William Taylor ever being employed at the hotel. “We are not familiar” with Taylor, and he was was never an “associate” at Hyatt.

The Enquirer editor said Taylor was never an employee of the Hyatt Corp., but a contract worker there

Frost said that “as a security officer with a private security firm, it was considered unprofessional” for him to associate with Hyatt employees, and so it would not be unusual that he would not know staff.

Samietz has not responded to Chronicle inquiries today about Taylor’s contract security status at the Hyatt.

Two retired California Highway Patrol officials who worked on Schwarzenegger’s security details, Mark Hammond and Manny Trevino, also denied the story allegations this week.

Sources and contributors to Hotel Confidential are current employees in hospitality in the Sacramento area.

Many hotel use outside firms, the identity of  security team is generally known to the hotel’s  management team.

For the security and safety of hotel guest and employees, the staff would know who he was and he would be required to carry some form of hotel identification.   Is it possible Mr Taylor worked without knowing anyone?  its possible but not likely.
