With a population of nearly three hundred thousand Stockton California is the state’s 13th largest city. Within it’s 75 miles is the busiest Inland Port in the State, it is home to the University of the Pacific and an ambishous Arena, Hotel ,Marina and BallPark has transformed downtown.
Build it and they will come didn’t happen to Stockton ( are you listening Sacramento?) the experiment is costing taxpayers 3 to 5 million dollars a year.
The collapsed Real Estate market has hurt this city. This year the city is facing a 37 million dollar shortfall ( Sacramento’s is more than 40 million) and could be the second city in the State after Vallejo to file for bankruptcy.
