A former Sacramento high basketball coach has been sentenced to four years, four months in prison after pleading no contest to involving youths in making sexually explicit videos and photos.

Melvin Flemings, who coached freshman hoops at El Camino High School until he was relieved of duties earlier this year, must also register as a sex offender per the plea agreement with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

Flemings was charged with six felonies involving six different victims he knew through various coaching activities.

Moved to the Big Tomata in the nineties from San Francisco. No Suburbs for me with its single colored houses and lawns and the excitement of pulling out my trash can once a week. I'm a CityFella , a part time New Yorker. I'm happiest in the Center City where people the streets and people are alive. I'm still waiting to buy a 34th floor condo somewhere downtown/Midtown with a nightclub. "Hurry I'm old" My politics are somewhere in the middle with a needle that constantly moves. I'm too liberal to be a Republican and too conservative to be a Democrat. Everything interests me . I've come to love Sacratomato, Its a nice town in cheap sensible shoes .

  1. That’s it huh, four years. Violating children? Is that what we call it these days. Not molestation or child rape. Just violating? It kills me the verbiage used to trivialize a perversion. To me its indicative of a mindset intrenched in society that refuse’s to believe the diabolical mindset used, that sets out contrive a method that gets them more access to children. So what’s it cost to victimize a child and forever destroy their innocents and peace of mindset you ask? Well apparently 4 years. And we wonder why we are still dealing with these problems and these people.
