Rachel Dolezal’s little BIG black lie

By CityFella

When I was a child, my mother told me if I told one lie, I would have to tell other lies .

Only Rachel Dolezal knows why she created a black persona.   There are many blacks who pass or have passed for white because it’s  easier to navigate in a white world. To live in this world they had to eliminate their past.  Unplugging and disconnecting every thing and everyone who could expose their little big lie.  For a white person knowing she’s white, passing for black is new. AND for this white woman passing for a black woman heading a branch of the prestigious NAACP is news!

For Rachel, it meant severing ties with her white parents Lawrence and Ruthanne Dolezal and friends and family.  Her parents adopted 4 black children.

Rachel 2.0

Away from Montana, she created a new persona.  Rachel 2.0 was biracial with a black dad and a white mom.  Her mother remarried a white man and her step dad was abusive, beating her darker skinned siblings.   She attended a black college and teaches African American Studies and she reportedly has discussed the challenges of black hair.  Became the president of the Spokane, Washington branch of the National Association of The Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

Rachel 2.0 is broken and can not be repaired. Students, friend’s, family and colleagues will now question every word..  It takes years to build a solid foundation and seconds to destroy it.  Someone in Hollywood is hammering out a version of her story.  She will be approached to write a book.   She isn’t malicious, most of her contributions stand of their own.

The NAACP continues to support her.“the NAACP remains committed to securing political, educational and economic justice for all people. And we encourage Americans of all stripes to become members and serve as leaders in our organization.”     We represent all civil rights issues, regardless of a person’s ethnicity. And the quality of the work that she has done to elevate the issues of civil rights in that region is what we applaud.”   NAACP, regional President Gerald Hankerson

Why the deceit?

The Spokane Spokesman-Review. newspaper reported,She has framed the controversy surrounding her racial identity in the context of litigation over guardianship of her adopted brother.

According to court documents obtained by CNN, Rachel Dolezal’s adopted brother, sought emancipation from Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal in 2010. The adopted brother, now 21, said the Dolezals used “physical forms of punishment” and had sent his brother and sister away to group homes because they didn’t cooperate with the couple’s religion and rules.

The adopted brother wanted to live with Rachel Dolezal “in a multiracial household where black culture is celebrated and I have a connection to the black community,” the court papers said. The papers did not specify Rachel Dolezal’s race.

The petition for emancipation was dropped. In a separate legal action in 2010, the court appointed Rachel Dolezal to be the adopted brother’s guardian with the consent of Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal.

Social Media’s Anger and Confusion and the word Trans

What’s intriguing about this story is a white person passing for black..  In entertainment its not unusual for a white singers to adopt a black public persona, from Vanilla Ice to Australia’s Izzy Azalea, mimicking black performers (sounding black) .

There are many blacks who are angry. From the tweets, some view her as a person with advantage (being white) playing black.  Receiving the advantages without feeling the pain.   I’m gonna end here.

Co-opting the oppression of Black women for professional advantage & personal attention. Wow. That is some messed up.

If we can change race then I choose to be white and I want my white privilege now.

There is nothing “trans” about . Stop w/ the false equivalencies to transpeople. Rachel is a lying, deceitful fraud. The end.
