His need for attention and praise is part of his narcissism. This narcissism allowed himself to taped by famed journalist Bob Woodward who taped him on 18 separate occasions from Dec. 5, 2019 to July 21, 2020.

Bob Woodward, is best known for his work with Carl Bernstein for the Washington Post on the Watergate Scandal. Their investigative work played a significant role that eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

The tape reveal contrary to the President and White House accounts, the President knew of the Virus in early February. He knew the severity of the disease and told Woodward it dangerous, highly contagious, airborne and “deadly.” Trump went on to say that coronavirus was maybe five times “more deadly” than the flu. Trump had this information nineteen days before the US Centers for Disease and prevention confirmed the first possible US of Community spread.

The President admitted to Woodward he kept the information hidden from the Public. On the March 19th recording, Trump said “even though he declared a national emergency over the Virus days earlier.” I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to cause panic.

In a January 28 top secret intelligence briefing, national security adviser Robert O’Brien gave Trump a “jarring” warning about the virus, telling the President it would be the “biggest national security threat” of his presidency. On May 6, Trump told Woodward he didn’t remember being told that.

The Lies, the tales the misleading stories has contributed to many deaths. of Americans. On the tape the President admitted he isn’t sharing what he knows.

I read and watch and listened to conservative media. Most agreed with the President position by not causing a panic. However, others weren’t buying.

A dam breaks five miles away from a major shopping mall with hundreds of shoppers. As the water rushed toward the mall, management makes the decision not to announced the dam break because it would cause shoppers to panic.

On Fox’s “Hannity” Wednesday, Trump said “he wanted to show a calmness” “I’m the leader of the country, I can’t be jumping up and down and scaring people,” Trump told host Sean Hannity. “I don’t want to scare people. I want people not to panic, and that’s exactly what I did.” He condemned Woodward as an author of “hit jobs.”

He does hit jobs with everybody, he even did it on Obama ,constant hit jobs. On [George W.] Bush, I guess, they did three books, they were all terrible,” Trump said. “So I figured, you know, ‘Let’s give it a little shot, I’ll speak to him.’ It wasn’t a big deal, I speak to him and let’s see. I don’t know if the book is good or bad, I have no idea. I probably, almost definitely won’t read it because I don’t have time to read it. But I gave it a little bit of a shot, sounds like it’s not going to be good.”

Book: Trump said of virus, 'I wanted to always play it down'

As the Commander in Chief, Donald Trump had a responsibility to alert the public. However, he lied and mislead Americans. Even thought he knew the severity of the virus. He ignored the advice of professionals and recommended his own treatments like hydroxychloroquine and bleach.

His wreckless disregard of American lives lands at his feet. The buck stops with the President, the blood of thousands of Americans are on his hands.
