On Saturday, May 14, 2022 eighteen year old Payton Gendron , a resident of Conklin New York drove over three hours to Buffalo New York.
Conklin is a small town with a population of 5000 people. According to the 2020 census, 89% of the populations is white.

How do we know Payton Gendron is a racist?
On Thursday, May 12,2022, A 180 page manifesto was posted online, allegedly written by a person claiming to be Payton Gendron confessing to the attack. In it the author says he bought ammo for some time but didn’t get serious about planning the attack until January.
Gendron claims that he was radicalized on 4chan while he was “bored” at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020.
The manifesto cited the “Great Replacement” Theory, the false idea that a cabal is attempting to replace white Americans with non-white people through immigration, interracial marriage and eventually violence. Other memes use tropes and discredited data to denigrate the intelligence of non-white people.
The theory has been cited by several mass shooters since 2018, including Robert Bowers who is charged with killing 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2018, Patrick Crusius who allegedly killed 23 people in an El Paso, Texas, Walmart and John Earnest killed one and injured three others at a Poway, California, synagogue in 2019.
“Great Replacement” theory has recently received support from traditional power centers of the American right. According to an AP-NORC poll released this week, 1 in 3 U.S. adults believe there is an ongoing effort “to replace U.S.-born Americans with immigrants for electoral gains.”
An author claiming to be Gendron says, “Zip code 14208 in Buffalo has the highest black percentage that is close enough to where I live.”
The Tops Friendly Market where the shooting took place is located in the heart of Buffalo’s Black community and 11 of the 13 people shot by the White suspect were Black, officials said.

Livestreamed and Dressed to Kill
The Gunman live streamed the shooting on Twitch under the name “jimboboiii”. When he pulled up to the supermarket he opened fire and shot four people outside the store killing three.
Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said the suspect drove to the Buffalo Tops market heavily armed, wearing tactical gear, and had a camera where he was live streaming what he was doing.
One witness told CNN,”He came out, he put the gun to his head, to his chin. Then he dropped it and took off his bulletproof vest, then got on his hands and knees and put his hands behind his back.
Comes from a nice home

Gendron is the oldest of four children born to civil engineers Pаul аnd Pаmelа Gendron, who both work for the New York Stаte Depаrtment of Trаnsportаtion. The fаmily is upper middle clаss, аccording to neighbors. Nаncy Sаntucci, а neighbor, sаid, “They hаve а reаlly nice fаmily.” “They аppeаr to be ordinаry people.” Never in а million yeаrs would I believe thаt someone from this neighborhood would trаvel to Buffаlo to commit а rаciаlly motivаted shooting.”
Gendron grаduаted from Susquehаnnа Vаlley High School lаst yeаr, аccording to Sаntucci. He recаlled а lаrge pаrty on the fаmily’s lаwn, which wаs decorаted with bаlloons. According to Sаntucci, Gendron brought home а humаn-sized Brontosаurus for а school project.
According to the Dаily Mаil, Gendron’s lаwyer confirmed thаt he intends to pleаd not guilty to the murders. Before cаrrying out the mаssаcre, the shooter reportedly scrаwled the n-word on his rifle.’
Not Guilty
New York Post: The teenager accused in Saturday’s Buffalo supermarket attack had once threatened to shoot his high school classmates but was still able to legally purchase three firearms, reports and sources said.
Payton Gendron, 18, of Conklin, New York, had sparked a state police investigation last year in Broome County that led him to be referred for a mental health evaluation and counseling, according to The Buffalo News.
“A school official reported that this very troubled young man had made statements indicating that he wanted to do a shooting, either at a graduation ceremony, or sometime after,” a government official familiar with the case told the paper.
Judge Craig Hannah told Mr. Gendron that he was being charged with first-degree murder and offered to go into more detail.
“I understand my charges,” Mr. Gendron said. The judge then asked if Mr. Gendron could afford his own attorney. After Mr. Gendron replied no, the judge appointed Brian K. Parker as his counsel, and Mr. Parker accepted the assignment and entered a plea of not guilty.
How will this movie end?
Will some from the right, raise money for this young man who took the lives of 10 innocent people. As a parent, I do have a bit of empathy for his parents. However, as I look at the scale, I have more for the thirteen victims who’s lives has permanently changed. It doesn’t matter what the jury untimely decides, they will be able to visit their son, as New York doesn’t have the Death Penalty.
Cynical I am! How was Mr Gendron a victim? What devastating interaction did he have with a black man in Conklin? A town where blacks are less than a percentage. Expect tears, and new big and colorful psychiatric terminology How did anyone not notice his arsenal. These and other questions maybe answered later this year or early 2023.
